The Purpose of the FDIC- To ensure that people would not lose the money they had deposited in banks if those banks should fail "Federal Deposit" "n.d".

 

The FDIC's attempt to achieve its purpose and its achievements- The FDIC maintains and advances the public's confidence in the U.S. financial system. It attempts to achieve its purpose by protecting deposits in banks and thrift institutions for up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each ownership category by recognizing, observing and dealing with threats to the deposit insurance funds. It also attempts to achieve its purpose by restricting the consequences on the economy and the financial system when a bank or thrift institution fails "Federal Deposit" "n.d". A huge achievement of the FDIC is that it is still around today and it is also a permanent agency in the government "Was The" "Zachary Adkins".

 

Who the FDIC most helps- The FDIC most helped the owners of banks, the government, and the people who have put their  money in banks.

 

Who the FDIC helps the least- They least help the people who do not put money in the bank. 

 

How successful is the FDIC- The FDIC is very successful because it has been around since 1933 and was made a permanent agency of the government in 1935 "Was The" "Zachary Adkins".

Characterized As- The FDIC is a reform, an immediate relief, and a long term recovery. The FDIC is a reform because it made changes in the U.S. banks in order to improve them. The FDIC is also an immediate relief because it was created to fix the U.S banks problems during the great depression. The FDIC is also a long term recovery because it is still around today and is still dealing with the U.S. banks problems.
